Ireland won the toss and elected to field first. Pakistan struggled to faced the Ireland bowling attack and were able to reach a target of 132 only in 45.4 overs. They were bowled out by the Irish bowlers. Imran Nazir scored the highest – 24 runs.
Ireland on the other hand comfortably scored 133 runs in 41.4 overs losing 7 wickets. N. Obrien scored the highest runs, 72 hitting 6 fours and 1 six. This win over Pakistan has put Pakistan out of the World Cup tournament.
